About Me

My name is Khrishna and for many years I was in front of the camera. Then one day my friends and I went garage sale hunting. It was at one of these garage sales that I bought my first real camera, a Nikon SLR (N4004) for $25. The camera was in beautiful condition, "believe it or not." The previous owner explained that he no longer had use for it since everything was going digital and this camera only used film. This was not just a 'point and click' camera. So, I decided that I would need to take classes to get the best out of my new treasure. I went to the Atlanta College of Art and Showcase Camera School and I took photography classes after work and during weekends. I discovered I loved it and my passion began to grow for photography. My friends and family enjoyed the photographs I was producing. This experience turned me into a female version of "Peanut's" Linus with his blanket. I had to have my camera with me everywhere I went.

In the beginning I took pictures of everything and everyone close to me. Atlanta had an ice storm one year, so I took pictures of the ice formations around my neighborhood. (One of those pictures is on display in the Art gallery .) My two cats, Max and Sheba, have become my sometimes unwilling subjects. My family and many of my friends have tolerated the constant clicking of my camera's shutter. Some of those pictures are displayed in the Portraits gallery of my site. As the years went by, my husband encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and photograph Soccer (Futbol) events. At first, this was a challenge for me, but I quickly grew into it. I LOVE SOCCER (FUTBOL). I then looked for every opportunity to photograph soccer and other simalar soccer events such as a Brazilian indoor version of soccer called, Futsal. Examples of my work can be seen within my Sports gallery.

My family and friends are a great encouragement and, sometimes, my toughest critics. If my mom doesn't like a picture she tells me and she doesn't hold back her opinion. However, when she sees one she likes she gives me the thumbs up with great enthusiasm. Above all, my husband is my inspiration. Being that he is an artist, he always uses his artist's eyes when reviewing my work. Each step of the way he continues to help me sharpen my skills. And now, I am behind the camera more than in front of it.

I consider myself an "event photographer". For example I am available to photograph special, life-time and social events; i.e. graduations, proms, anniversary parties, bridal showers, baby showers & announcements, engagement parties, school reunions, family reunions, etc. I also am available for sporting events; i.e. your son's or daughter's championship games. These are all moments of our lives that we wish could be "Frozen In Time" so that we can later look back at them, smile and remember when..... Enjoy every minute of these moments while I relieve you of any added worry of capturing these precious, once in a life time moments.
